Hello again.

Obviously Nate wrote the last two blogs. He is so cute to do that for me. He just got a new job at a medical software company as an account number. He is salaried and has his own desk and he is THRILLED. We soon will have INSURANCE! YAY! And I will probably try to get a part-time bankruptcy job if the pay is right. I can't beat the pay at my work, but they are NOT flexible enough. It's a dilemma.

I lost 1.8 lbs last week. I decided to make sure to drink more water and to eat my daily dairy. Usually a string cheese and a skinny cow ice cream sandwich or Weight Watchers ice cream bar. AWESOME! Diet food really has come a long way.

My next step is to attend at least one yoga class on the weekend. Nate and I are so healthy it's unbelievable. He makes us dinner EVERY NIGHT! He is an amazing cook. He makes a mean curry, turkey burger, and sweet and sour chicken! MMMM! He is also playing basketball twice a week and has started to swim once a week. He is getting so skinny.

A couple days ago the baby was coughing a terrible cough. My mom had been sick so I knew he was probably going to get sick and I had a terrible sore throat. I told Nate, "Your son is in there hangin' with Mr. Crouper."

So the next morning I decided he really had to go to the Dr. My mom took him cause I was sick and I still had to go to work (due to the inflexibility). I figured I needed as much sleep as possible as I fall asleep at work EVERY DAY! Anyhow I ended up feeling TERRIBLY guilty because instead of just writing him a prescription like I had assumed, they had to give him a breathing treatment and steroids! SHOOT! I wish I would have been there. Then I had to worry about him all day at work. So I guess it was better that I got some sleep. My mom said the Dr. came in and said, "Hi," and Ethan said, "Hi!" Hahah. I believe that. Then the nurse set up the whole breathing apparatus and he threw up right into it. Hahaha. Then he wanted to play with the mask and loved it. So at least he wasn't crying or anything. He's such a good baby.

In the end the Dr. said it was EITHER asthma, RSV or croup. What a great diagnosis. He was better the next day but they gave us another dose of the steroids just in case. I'm a little concerned about giving such a gigantic baby STEROIDS! Shoot! Nate said when he was little he had asthma attacks so bad that he would pass out and the ambulance would have to come and shoot adrenaline into his HEART! Just like in Pulp Fiction! SCARY! It makes me really mad that his mom smoked in the house his whole life. Duh. Quit it. Especially when your kid almost dies all the time. PFFFFT! But I'm also thinking that the steroids is what made Nate so big too as there are really no big people in his family. Hmm...
